Wayne Geyer

Worth the wait.

Knowlton Hall | The Ohio State University

After a year delay, designer-turned-copywriter Wayne Geyer spent a very entertaining evening reading samples of his award-winning copy and sharing his techniques for writing headlines, taglines, and the stuff in between.

He started by looking at the crowd and asking, "Are you sure you want to be here?" Judging by the large attendance, the answer was yes. If you missed it, visit Jeff Seslar's event Flickr gallery, then visit Wayne's website to check if he's had time to add his visits to Ringside Cafe and Graffiti Burger to his well-documented search for America's best cheeseburger.

Oh, and one more thing:  Mooyah!

Worth the price of admission.

Invitations to November's Creative Best awards show should hit your mailbox this week; watch for yours, fill out the RSVP, and send it back right away. (How's that for a call-to-action, Wayne?) See who delivered the best work of the year, and powermingle before and after with drinks, food, and fun. Get all the details here, including a downloadable invite and RSVP, in case the mailman missed ya.

Worth your time.
